A distinctive and luxurious piece from S/S 1999, a collection that proposed simple but ethereal looks based on delicate translucent layers. The lightness bestowed by the top's silk chiffon fabrication is offset by the striking complexity of its construction: The body is constructed from six panels of fabric and shaped by vertical darts. The upper is embellished with black glass beads that have been sewn by hand.

A wide neck tie is attached to the upper back, while thin self-fabric straps delineate the hemline. An asymmetric strap on the left completes the unconventional design. The interior is finished with French seams and there is a concealed side zipper.
